Use a maze to introduce classroom routines
Book and pencil artwork fits a first-week task, but the useful part is practicing how to choose materials, work independently and check an answer.
- Start with level 2 while explaining where pencils and finished work belong.
- Let early finishers choose a level-3 or level-4 question instead of waiting for the whole class.
- Review one wrong turn together to show that erasing and trying again are part of the routine.
Printing and use
Can I use a maze result to place children in ability groups?
A single maze is not a placement assessment. Use it to observe how children approach the task and offer a comfortable next activity.
How should I print?
Use Letter or A4 to match your paper, select actual size (100%), and turn off browser headers and footers.
Where are the answers?
Each download contains the questions followed by answers. The preview answer switch does not change the downloaded PDF.
Can I use these commercially?
See the commercial-use page for permitted examples and restrictions. These draft terms still require publisher confirmation.
