A first start-to-finish puzzle

This single-level set is for learning what an entrance, exit and blocked path mean. Success is understanding the route, not finishing quickly.

  1. Point to the entrance and exit before touching the maze.
  2. Trace with a finger and stop at the first wall to decide which way is open.
  3. Try a second puzzle with a pencil only when the child can explain where the first route ends.

Printing and use

What if a child draws across the walls?

Demonstrate one short passage with your finger. Let the child copy that movement before attempting the whole puzzle; use the blank template for wider hand-drawn corridors if needed.

How should I print?

Use Letter or A4 to match your paper, select actual size (100%), and turn off browser headers and footers.

Where are the answers?

Each download contains the questions followed by answers. The preview answer switch does not change the downloaded PDF.

Can I use these commercially?

See the commercial-use page for permitted examples and restrictions. These draft terms still require publisher confirmation.
